Dr. Santiago was born and raised in Washington D.C. He is a graduate of the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, VA. He completed advanced training from the Columbia Presbyterian Hospital Affiliate in Harlem, NY. He was a Medical Officer with the Public Health Service in Miami, FL. and San Francisco, CA.
While in California, he was involved in medical research and was a staff physician at Mt. Zion Hospital, University of California in San Francisco.

He is married with 2 children, plays guitar & percussion. He is a staff musician at his church. He studied in the culinary arts & loves to cook gourmet dishes.
